About Me
Hi, I'm Sarah — the hands and heart behind Southern Chic Keepsakes
I've always been a creative person, and for as long as I can remember, I've wanted to use that creativity to help other people. That's exactly what Southern Chic Keepsakes is: a way for me to take the deepest, most tender parts of your story and turn them into something you can hold, wear, and keep close every single day.
Why I started
My inspiration comes from my Nana. She passed away in 2004 after living with multiple sclerosis, which limited so much of what she was able to do. Now that I'm older, I find myself wishing she were still here — that I could take her with me everywhere and show her all the things I've made. In a way, I do. I've created many pieces of my own using her ashes, and it brings me a happiness that's hard to put into words. She is a big part of this business, and every piece I make for you is made with that same love.
By day, I'm also a NICU nurse. Caring for families during their most fragile moments has taught me something I carry into every keepsake I create: how much comfort a small, tangible piece of love can bring when you need it most.
What I make
Every piece is handcrafted by me, using the inclusions you trust me with — ashes, hair, breastmilk, flowers, and other precious mementos. Whether it's a ring, necklace, keychain, or another custom piece, I handle every inclusion with the same care and reverence I would want for my own Nana. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is treated as "just an order."
Why I keep going
Honestly? It's you. The thankfulness and appreciation my customers show me is what keeps me going. Every message telling me that a piece brought peace, that a loved one feels close again — those are the reasons I do this. Knowing I can provide just a small bit of peace and comfort to someone walking through loss or celebrating a new chapter is the greatest gift of this work.
Let's make something meaningful together
If you're here because you're missing someone, celebrating a new baby, or honoring a beloved pet — I would be honored to create your keepsake. Thank you for trusting me with your story.
With love,
Sarah
